How to use the follow-up generator
- Pick the situation. Estimate with no reply, "let me think about it", a missed call, a late payment, a review request.
- Add the customer's first name and the job. The message updates as you type.
- Copy and paste into your phone or email. Done in under 30 seconds.
When to send an estimate follow-up text
Most homeowners don't say no to an estimate. They just go quiet while they compare quotes, check their budget or wait for a spouse. A short, polite text keeps you in the conversation without sounding pushy. A simple rhythm works for most trades:
- Day 2: make sure the estimate arrived and offer to answer questions.
- Day 5: offer a quick call or a walk-through of the numbers.
- Day 10: open the door on price or scope.
- Day 20: mention your schedule for the coming weeks.
- Day 60: close the loop politely, and leave the door open.

Rules that make follow-up texts work
- Keep it short. One idea per text, under 160 characters when you can.
- Use their name and the job. It proves it's a real person writing.
- Ask one easy question. "Any questions?" gets more replies than "Are you ready to book?"
- Stop when they answer. A reply, even a "no", ends the sequence.
- Only text people who contacted you. Never text a number you bought or scraped.
Frequently asked questions
Is this follow-up text generator really free?
Yes. No signup, no email, no limit. Use it as often as you want.
How long should I wait to follow up on an estimate?
Two days is a good first follow-up. It is soon enough that the estimate is still fresh, and late enough that it doesn't feel pushy.
Should I follow up by text or by email?
Text gets read faster, so it is usually better for the first follow-up. Email works well when the estimate is large, when you need to attach a document, or when the customer asked for email.
How many times should I follow up on a quote?
Three to five touches over about two months is reasonable. Stop as soon as the customer answers, even if the answer is no.
Is it legal to text my customers?
Texting a customer who gave you their number about their own job is normal business communication. Don't send marketing texts to numbers you bought or scraped, and stop when someone asks you to. This is general information, not legal advice.
Do you store what I type?
No. The messages are built in your browser. Nothing is sent to PVO Labs or saved.
